can you disable 1080p video on the 4S?

if someone wanted to take videos at 720p, or 480p to conserve space is there an option to take videos at lower than 1080p? what about pictures at lower than 8mp?

You can take a 8MP picture and crop it and make it smaller. But as of right now, there are no settings to lower picture/video quality.

If you want to wait,
there's this app that I always use for my cinematography work called FiLMiC Pro.
The developer team on Facebook said that they will keep the 720p resolution as one of the recording resolution options on the next update.

It's a pretty neat app too, you can select different frame rates other than 30fps, and also AF & AE Lock 🙂
