i apologize if this has already been posted. there are WAY too many threads for me to sift through even when using the search feature..
anyway, your iCloud defaults to push which means it is in constant communication with your phone. if you go to settings then mail, contacts, calendars you will have the option to turn push off and set a fetch schedule...that isn't enough. that only changes the schedule for your primary emails
go to advanced and you'll see all your email accounts and the iCloud account. iCloud is still set to push. you can now set it to fetch or set it to manual. manual will only sync to the cloud if the app is open. i.e if you open notes it will sync with iCloud. not before
