Since people may ask: I'm on a family plan. Eligible for upgrades. Walked into Apple store to look at iPhones. They had them in stock. Couldn't get in touch with primary account holder back at home to make the upgrade. Walked out with full-price iPhone 4s (I wasn't going to go home empty-handed :o ).

Now I want to get subsidized phone and sell it to defray cost.

With the new "Applecare+," the purchase must be made at the time of sale. That would be good for the person buying it, since they wouldn't be able to get it themselves. Do you think it's worth getting Applecare+ , i.e., will that be a good differentiator on Craigslist? Will I make by money back on it? I'm trying to maximize my returns, not get deeper in the hole.

I guess 16GB black is the most popular model...that would be the one to get?

My friend, who egged me on into buying the new iPhone, is going to sell this on Craigslist. Will people think it's stolen? How do I convince people t's not?

Thanks, everyone. The new phone is AWESOME, by the way!

Wouldn't you be better off ordering the upgrade and returning the current phone?
