Pictures wont go on photo stream

I have like 500 photos that were on my ipad before i upgraded to ios5. They never uploaded to photo stream once i upgraded. How do i get them on photo stream.

Are they in your camera roll?

From what I can tell, the pictures that you take from the point of the upgrade going forward are part of your Photo Stream. Whatever pictures that were on your camera roll prior to the upgrade won't.

only pictures taken after enabling Photo Stream will be placed into the stream

if you open the image in an editing app on the iPad, and then re-save it, i believe it will be placed in to the photo stream.

e-mail them to yourself and download them to your camera roll
