Ok, so my internal drive can no longer hold all my iTunes stuff, and I have more that a 1TB amount of space for a Mini, so logically going to use external USB 2 TB drive.

When I use Time Machine to backup the Mac Mini, it does not capture the data on the external drive even though iTunes is pointing there?

Anyone else know how to get this to work, or will TM only backup internal disks.

Have a look in system preferences under time machine and look under options. There you'll see if it is being excluded and the option to include it.

Time Machine is backing up my external so you shouldn't have any issues. Do like the above poster said and make sure it isn't excluded.

Great, thanks folks, I did not even go to System Preferences yet, but I will look when I get home 🙂
