Downgrading

Is there any way to downgrade from OSX to OS 9? I know this might sound odd, but I have an iMac G3 that I bought on eBay that did not include the restore cd's. I have a copy of OS 9 around here and my mother is going to be using the iMac G3. I put OSX on the iMac G3 when I bought the iMac and it is running very slow now. I would like to put OS 9 on the system to speed it up. Is this possible?

Insert OS9 CD, reboot holding down the C key, and off you go...unless there's something I'm missing :confused: you should be fine. Haven't been anywhere near 9 in a long time myself :o
