iPad mail icon not in dock?

At least that's what's happened since last week. I'm pretty sure it was there before - even after I upgraded to iOS 5. Any way to move it back?

Place your finger onto the icon until it starts to "wiggle". Drag the icon to the dock (if there's not enough room, take another icon off the dock first). Press the home button to stop the icons from wiggling. Done.
