Let's say I have a PowerMac G4 400 Gigabit Ethernet and $400-$500.. what to do?

Hello all. You have all been very helpful as I have been attempting to get a nice little PM together for myself. Here is where it looks like I will be. A deal is in the works for me to aquire a G4 400Mhz PowerMac Gigabit Ethernet model and I was going to upgrade the CPU and graphics card. What would be the best CPU and graphics to put in the system for $400 to $500? Can anyone direct me to a site that can be trusted and with good prices? I would prefer not use ebay as well. Any opinions or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks 🙂

you can do it for under 300 if you go with the pwerlogix G4 1ghz and an ati radeon 9000

Make your cpu G4 1 GHz and get a Rad 96/98. Also get another HDD and you will have a kick ass machine.

About 430. Gives you a 1 GHz G4 and a Radeon 9800, which makes one hell of a mac. CPU could probably be OC'ed if you installed a better heatsink and some Artic Silver 3 and a fan, and the card can be OC'ed too. Use the rest of the money for a HD or RAM. 😱
