I had to post this because although I've seen some stuff relating to this /. member I've seen very little excitement over what this guy is saying. Some may say he's just a troll but my god he has a hell of an imagination!

Some good stuff on what we may expect from Quicktime 7, also flexing some good knowledge of video formats.

Information on some good technology that looks set to cut our start up times.

iPhoto future and a good reason to stop whining about Spotlight not looking too deep into your pictures.

This one backs up Airport Express A/V and gives some damn good technical reasons on why it will work and how, knocks down the dreamed video iPod though.

As Seen on TV overuses "we" and refuses to discuss his/her position at Apple. Considering how secretive Apple has been lately, it's either a well-thought out gimmick or astroturfing. I find him/her interesting as well, I just wish there was a little bit of proof that he/she is an Apple employee to justify "we".

Yeah it is tough to verify, but the stuff s/he talks about is really too in depth to discount entirely. I think that this person is doing this against Apple's wishes so divulging where they work at in the company would result in termination probably. Of course, there is the possibility that these are some sort of "endorsed" leak. If that is the case, they may be under instructions to not give up too much info as it makes it seem like its okay for them to be discussing this. Or that could be the tin-foil hatted person inside of me trying to get out. ;)

On one hand, the comments may becoming from a reliable source... but I doubt Apple would allow this: some of his statements are very specific; if they had any veracity, I think Apple would contact slashdot and have his posts removed...
Maybe they already did and slashdot blew them off. Well, interesting reads nevertheless. Thanks for the links.

interesting posts. of course, we wont know how much of what he/she's saying is true until at least some of it gets confirmed.

he/she seems to know a hell of a lot though. must be someone fairly high up to know so much about os many different departments..

i think the guys at slashdot have got a bit overexcited tho i think - some seem to think it's steve jobs / phil schiller / avie tevanian - i think that's kinda nuts.

the poster definitely makes some great and thoughtworthy comments though.
