Start sound --> login screen = 18 sec

(Toshiba SSD)

I have a mid/late 2011 mba 13 i5 with 256 gb samsung sad.

Boot time to login screen is 15 secs ...

I know that this is an Air thread, but I thought I would give you a comparison to a 2010 15" MacBook Pro with an i5 2.4Ghz, and a Crucial M4 128GB SSD.

My boot time from sound to login is 18.6 seconds.

Sound to login screen is 8 seconds

Login to desktop screen is another 10 seconds

I am running Filevault2

Start sound ---> Desktop = 15.2 seconds.

13"/1.7 i5/128GB Samsung

~ 50 seconds on 2011 i5 11" MBA*
