******** 900 plus shipping *********.

I got it new when I went to school. Purchased August before entering as a Freshman, so it's nearly two years old. It has AppleCare for three years, though, so it's still covered.

Specs:
867Mhz G4
768MB RAM
40GB HD
CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive
New Screen (had the white spots)
Airport Card
New battery

It's got one little mark on the top thanks to Apple's "service" department, but they won't take credit for it. It's got the usual little scuffs on the bottom, as well, but they're not very visible (and certainly not when it's sitting on the desk). Apple saw fit to give me a new screen with a single stuck(blue) pixel and what I think are some dead ones right around it, but you'll only notice the stuck pixel because it's bright blue (I NEVER see the dead ones). Also the right wrist-rest makes an odd noise, though it's attached and doesn't appear broken at all.

Because it has an airport card, which is not found frequently anymore, I don't think that any of the issues listed above should detract too much from the value of the laptop. They're all cosmetic, and do not affect its functionality.

I've got all the bits for it as well (adapters but no restore disks).

Please look at the pictures. The ONLY thing you can see without searching is a little chip on the hinge. I tried three times to take a picture of the chip on the lid and it just doesn't show up in the picture, nor do the scuffs on the bottom. It's still well put together and will make a good machine for somebody. It was very lightly used, and I was extremely anal about caring for it. I know it sounds a little beat up from the description, but you can see in the pictures that it is actually pretty prestine. I simply want to be up front and honest about its condition. The hair in the second picture is not included ;-)

How much are you looking for it? On a side note, your sig, an AMD 2100+ @500mhz, where did you get that

I'm looking to get as close to 1000 after shipping as I can. I paid over 2000 for what you see, so I think that's pretty fair.

The mobile AthlonXP running at 500MHz was underclocked from 1800MHz to 500 to reduce heat output so that it could act as my server. It's so quiet I can never tell if it's actually on :) It's running at 1600mhz now, since it wasn't behaving very well at 500.

Pictures will be available when I can borrow my room mate's digital camera, but he's out right now.

Pics now available . . . email if you want 'em. I forgot to mention a chip on the right hinge . . . this is the only cosmetic flaw you can actually see.

I don't feel there's anything wrong with the computer . . . Cosmetic damage is at a minimum (and none of it was my doing, but I guess that doesn't matter). Anything that's actually physically wrong would be fixed by Applecare for another year, and I've never dropped or bumped it. I've taken extremely good care of it, and I think that 1000 is fair considering that. I disagree with the "all the problems" statement, as there's only one as far as I'm concerned (the battery issue).

applecare wont replace the battery after 1 year, so you're sol for that one

The battery is not "broken" to the point that it doesn't work . . . it simply does not report the correct level of charge. Certainly after two years it will not hold a charge as well as it did when it was new, but it will last you a two hour flight. I didn't say Applecare would fix it, either. But anything else that goes wrong would be fixed.

The bumpage. Notice the 12" 867 selling for 1000 plus shipping. I think you get a lot more from the 15" model.
