Apple yesterday announced (http://developer.apple.com/news/index.php?id=11082011a) the release of version 2.0 of its iAd Producer (https://developer.apple.com/iad/iadproducer/) software that help developers create ads for use in the company's iAd program for mobile devices. The new release brings a number of enhancements to the software first deployed (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/12/20/apple-launches-iad-producer-tool/) last December.New tools and animation effects in iAd Producer 2.0 make it even easier to build great iAds. Create sophisticated animations with precise control over object properties like position, opacity, size, color and shadow. Get instant, one-click access to any object or element on a page with the new object list. Make your iAds better and faster with new validation tools that identify optimization opportunities and common errors.Additional details on the improvements in iAd Producer 2.0 can be found in the release notes (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4464). iAd Producer is a free download for registered iOS developers.

Woa Woa Woa...

The reason Flash is so prevalent, is because you have flash, the technology, and you have Flash the application with a nice gui which makes it easy for ANYONE to get into creating the content. Kids enjoy making vector animations with it, & learn to go from there.

Apple has an alternative application for html5 but only makes it available to developers? This should merge with or replace iWeb and be included on every Mac.

Hahaha, the last time I built a site, in about 1999, I did that. ...and decided it was the last time.

We utilize engineering programs that are able to sort & manage & compile all kinds of data types, interactive parametric 4-dimensional models, enormous finite element analysis calculations, HUGE standard sets from every stds organization in the world, hierarchal part assemblies, etc, into a workflow that lets the designer focus on the design as much as possible, & the design tools as little as possible. You could hit the command line and have the satisfaction of manually entering every operation, but... I guess it sort of amazes me that we can design planes, trains & automobiles without seeing a single line of code, but if you want to make some graphics dance around on a website, you've got to hire a service to sit down and hard code everything from scratch, and a whole industry has accepted this as perfectly normal. Weeeird!
