Battery life and the Calendar app?

So I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but I've noticed a huge increase in battery life by turning off all notifications for the built in Calendar app. Anyone else do this and notice it too?
 
I have everything off for the Calendar app, badges and everything. Everything toggled to off. I have another calendar app I use.
