I have a 17" PB with a Japanese keyboard, but OS X thinks it's an English keyboard. It's screwing me up because the keys are in different places for the two languages.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

I take it you know about the input device thing? Like the flag in the corner in the menubar. Also the system preferences - international pref pane? See attachment.

Yeah, I do (but thanks anyway.)
When I pull up the Keyboard viewer, it says US keyboard with a US keyboard layout. On my 12" PB with the SAME SETTINGS, it says US keyboard but it shows the Japanese keyboard layout and it works fine.
What gives? ?

make sure the input device is checked in the pane i posted before, that is the only thing I can think of.
