iTunes Match: Replacing Meta Data

Hi.. for some songs, I'd like to use iTunes meta data. Is it possible to have iTunes change it? I've tried deleting and re adding the songs, but it keeps the same old meta data. Anyone successfully changed meta data from their own meta data to the iTunes metadata? Thanks.
