many posters have blamed the current dual G4s as just merely incremental speed bumps to the quicksilver

i have to admit, that is almost what i thought about the machine

but after reading the article in macworld, i have to give apple credit for improving the G4 over the quicksilver

i still have to admit that i think the quicksilver G4 was a more impressive debut when it replaced the original form factor G4 tower

i hope all those "vents" make a difference;)

I think the air vents are for future tower releases rather than now. I really feel the next revision of the G4 will give a good speed improvement. Think of it, the new spec G4 chip (full DDRAM use), another 250Mhz --> up to 1.5Ghz. I think this will give good bump.

The vents may be more for future releases, but I'm sure that they start churning when you have a full complement of drives in it.
