Canon Optura 40 still a good choice?

HI! I did a lot of research about digital camcorders 4-6 months ago and the result was that the Canon Optura 40 was my top choice. I am in the market to buy now, but since I did my research I have been super-busy with returning to the States from Kuwait, finding and getting a new job, and moving the wife and son to Chicago, among other things. So, can anyone help me out and tell me if the Optura 40 is still one of the best choices? Or is there something better in that general category now? Thanks!! :) :) A forum search wasn't very productive . . .

Hi, off hand I'm not sure what price point you are looking at with that Canon but if you have the money check out some of the new camcorders at www.camcorderinfo.com as some new ones have come out that may be better than before you started to look. I know I should've held off untill now to get a nicer camcorder but that happens :rolleyes:
