As a gift, I got a portable DVD player! Its awesome! HUGE screen and great sound, a car charger AND a thing to put it in so I dont have to hold it but I can watch it still.
Today, I take the DVD player and charger and charge it and do my normal activities. Its time to go, and, What do ya know!? My mom took my case and car charger and now its lost.
I am so upset! AND I was gonna watch Napoleon Dynamite and Dodgeball!

1) I take full responsability for my own stuff, unless my mom ADMITS SHE TOOK IT AND LOST IT! What do I say, "oh no mom, you just THINK you lost it - I really lost it"
2) I'm 13...
3) Wow, that last comment was so stupid, I dont want anyone to feel sorry for me, I just posted it because I'm upset!

your getting angry because someone moved your stuff, your asking people to empathize for you ... to me thats asking people to feel sorry for you. Taking responsibility can mean whatever you want it to. I don't understand what your age has to do with losing stuff but if that makes you feel better or less upset, please use it as an excuse. My post wasn't stupid, being upset over things that were fully in your control is stupid in my book.

being upset for things like this, regaurdless that it was under his control, is common. but to post it on the site and start a thread as a way to vent....well not entirerly necissary.....

Come on guys... he is 13... If I remember myself correctly at that age, I would have been upset too. He just needed to vent.

exactly..this site isn't just a place to talk macs..it's a community. anybody should be able to vent their anger/frustration freely. venting usually calms you down a bit anyway, and stops you saying things you may regret, so i'm glad dotdotdot decided to do so..
on a side note, my brother got toothpaste on my favourite marc jacobs sweater yesterday. idiot.
now i feel better too :)

Cleaning my already-clean room...
*Side note - Just watched TV show where this guy is upset because his mom lost his baseball cards which would now be worth a lot... I feel his pain! lol*

In bad times like this, i like to think about the good things. For eg at least its only the charger and not the actual dvd unit itself that got lost :)

Don't worry, you'll find the DVD case and charger as soon as you sell, lose, or break the DVD player.
It's perfectly safe nestled amongst all the lost half pairs of socks. ;)

You're 13? Stop cursing then; I am referring to the title of this thread. :p
And if you're upset over this... ha, wait until you become an adult and life REALLY starts kicking you in the balls!

I can't stand it when someone moves my stuff... I use an archaeological filing system (the deeper it is, the older it is) but I can usually put my hand on something within 10 seconds. Unless, that is, someone has tidied up on me while I wasn't looking, then I am hooped. Drives me spare. And I'm 44. I'm with you, bro'.

I happen to get upset when I lose something. Always try to be careful with my things also. Sometime talking about the problem help. Hopefully you are starting to feel better. Maybe your Mom will assist withe replacing the case are car charger.
