Trying to run S/MIME on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.

I've been able to install my Verisign Digital ID certificate by exporting a .p12 from Keychain Access (Running this on Mail in Lion, works great) but it comes up as 'Not Trusted' on the iPhone and of course I'm cannot sign or encrypt my emails.

What am I doing wrong?

Wish I could. I have a Verisign ECA also with the Same problem.

I do have one clue. I have a 2nd certificate for another email account from a different CA that works just fine. Looking through that cert on the phone I see a section labeled "Extended Key Usage" with a purpose of "E-mail protection". The Verisign ECA cert doesn't have that.

My guess is that they are just way behind the times issuing the ECA certs and are missing some newer inclusions. Hell, they STILL don't support purchasing the certs on or for a Mac.
