Well, just got my replacement iBook battery (after the recall), and I am wondering the best steps for keeping it top-notch...

I have been reading this (http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm) and heres what I am thinking:

Begin by a calibration (full charge, then discharge until sleep)
Charge all the way back up before use
Do not leave plugged in all the time
Cycle entire battery (discharge and recharge) once a month
For regular use: Partial/frequent charges are fine

Does that sound good? I normally try not to leave it plugged in all the time, I let it go down to 50 or so then charge back up.

Thoughts?

I think I'm going to try that, with the except of step 1, ok, I'll add a step 0 with the help from tfaz1 in this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=127771&page=7&pp=25). I'm going to drain the factory charge first, before I ever plug my iBook in.
On a somewhat related question, do we HAVE to send the old one back?:)

So you are saying put new battery in... drain factory charge, charge full, drain charge, charge full, use?

Yep, that's what I'm going to do - he claims he gets better battery life than people that don't.
