Every time I open a Finder window, it shows only a few of the folders and in the upper right corner, there is a "Show All" option, which I always click. Is there a way to default it so it shows all instead of having to click it every time?

Setting default view option in Finder

In my experience, Finder doesn't retain default view selections. It's one of the several drawbacks to this app.
