Hi I am looking to buy a smaller/smallest desktop for mid to serious gaming purpose. And some Photoshop usages. I know Apple products are not the best for gaming purposes but I "must" have a Mac at home. Here is the model I plan to get:

2.5GHz : 500GB

* 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
* 4GB memory
* 500GB hard drive1
* AMD Radeon HD 6630M
* OS X Lion

The game I play mostly is Starcraft 2. Do you guys think I can at least run on High setting w/o lag?
How will this Mac mini do VS the $2199 Macbook pro base model?:

15-inch: 2.4 GHz

* 2.4GHz quad-core
Intel Core i7
* 4GB 1333MHz
* 750GB 5400-rpm1
* Intel HD Graphics 3000
* AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB GDDR5

Depending on the resolution that you play at, you wont be getting good framerate with the mini unless you are running at a resolution of 1024 by 768 with medium settings. If you were going to get a Mac at this point, i would suggest getting an iMac since it comes with a dedicated quadcore, better discrete graphics, a monitor and keyboard and mouse.

If you were contemplating on getting a desktop, for your needs, the iMac would probably be a better choice
