Mail app crashing

My mail app keeps crashing in the background on the 4s since I upgraded. It keeps doing this and really annoying as when it restarts. Normally in the evenings I get a bulk of emails in one go.

Has anyone else been affected or knows how to sort it?
 
Have you tried removing the accounts from mail then re-adding them? Closing the Mail app in the Multitasking bar?
 
Yes and than restored as new. Still same

Also deleted all junk and deleted files off the servers via computer. This did solve it for a few days

This happened to me a long time ago. Setting up the phone as "new" fixed it, although there may be a less drastic way to fix it. Apple support forums are pretty helpful too if you can't find the answer here.
