Hi,

I have a 1st Gen Nano White 4GB, but when I type the serial it says its not in the program.

Does that mean not all 1st Gen nanos are included?

It means your particular one has not been recalled.

So not all 1st Gens have the issue then?

Negative. Only ones that were made in a span of several months.

The recalled Ipods all have the metal back. There are other 1st gen Ipods with a plastic black and in other colors (i.e. blue) that are not part of the recall. The recall only involves manufacture over a certain period because it is batteries from only one supplier that have gone awry.
