Some facts first:
- Macbook Pro 13" 2010, all stock
- did an upgrade to Lion in August (HD never been formatted before)
- happened under 10.7.1 & 10.7.2
- everything up to date
- I do repair disk permission very now and then

I started having kernel panics sometime in October and they are getting more and more frequent. I had 7 since then. I also could not figure if there is something specific that triggers them. It happens during surfing, streaming video, listening to music, while copying pics from my camera, etc. I also do not do anything CPU intensive with my MBP - Safari, Mail, iTunes, Pages, Numbers, iCal, iChat, Skype and uTorrent is what I use 99% of the time.

I have all reports here:

Can anyone figure out anything from them?

Thanks!

Logitech Control Center is probably the problem, so uninstall Logitech Control Center and restart your Mac! If that does not help, use Apples Hardware Test (dynamic pager error is probably a RAM/Virtual Memory (VM) problem).

I've said it before.

LCC behaves like a virus. It should be avoided like a virus.

If you need to get PC based peripherals to work on your Mac, there are many good options out there such as: Controllermate, SteerMouse, BetterTouchTool (yes BTT can actually map regular mouse buttons too), Keyboard Maestro, etc.

I really think that MacUpdate needs to screen software before making it accessible to their members and potentially reeking havoc on their systems.

I've used LCC for years on several Macs with zero issues. It's possible this could be a bad install, but I've never found the software itself to be problematic.

I found LCC leaking on my wife's Mac about 3 years ago. It'd eat all available memory over the course of 3 or 4 days, and finish the Mac off with a kernel panic.
Eliminating the control center eliminated the panics, and her Logitech mouse ran just fine without the control center. Perhaps yours will too.

I've never had a kernel panic or performance issues running LCC. I need it for advanced mouse button configurations.

Thanks guys. I have deleted LCC and rebooted.

Interesting comment on leaking RAM issue with LCC. I have noticed that my Macbook runs out of all memory in the course of 3-4 days (4GB). I thought it was an issue with the Safari though (goes above 1gig in just few hours). Will see how it goes now.
