I am looking to combine at least 6 songs from itunes (bought from them) into one file. I tried through audacity and the songs came up scrambled. Is it possible?

Are those songs DRM free?
Have you tried Garage Band?

You could record them with a software like Audio Hijack Pro, which is paid. Or if you are more technically apt then you can mimic the process with SoundFlower and Quicktime, which would be free.

You would be recording exactly what you hear and I don't believe DRM would be in the way.
