Okay, first off I am pretty good with everything ios, so when you post answers you don’t have to break it down in too simple of terms. I currently am using a 64gb, iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0. One evening I decided to video record something while not watching the actual event through the phone. I set it up to record and sit there on its own. Later I go to grab it the phone to view the recording and it seems as though during the recording the phone ran out of power. I looked in the photos app and the video looked as though it only recorded about :15. Now this puzzled me as I know there was about 50% battery life left when I started this recording. I later then deleted it and forgot all about it. For the past few weeks I have been puzzled by 10gb being used from the “other” section and for the life of me couldn’t figure out what was taking up this space as I did not save any file in an app. Today I downloaded and used DiskAid and finally found this 10.8 gb file. It is a .MOV file. So I transferred it to my computer and played it. It is that video I recorded but again only lasts about 15 seconds. Now, here is my question how can a :15 video be 10.8 GIGABITES? What I believe is as it was saving from a temp file to the photos app, the phone actually died and thusly leaving behind the large temp video file and not saving it fully. How do I get this file to play through and/or save correctly? I just found it at work and will be attempting to use a video converter to convert to a different file type hoping it will work. In the mean-time please post any ideas to help, as this is and/or could be a good video 

Update: So I found that the actual length is 1 hour and 42 seconds. Handbrake is currently running and (computing time remaining). Fingers crossed.

okay I'm gald that you got it fixed. I was going to offer up my opinion and ask if when your phone locks does the video stop recording.

I hope you got it.

It did not work. The new converted file plays but doesn't actually have video or sound. PLEASE HELP
