Android version of Remote App?

Is there an Android version of the Remote App for the Apple TV 2?

I have my Apple TV 2 in a closet so I use my iphone to control the Apple TV 2 usually.

But if I'm out of the house, I want my wife to be able to control it with her droid 2. (Mistake she should have gotten an iphone which she will with her next phone).

any help would be appreciated.

We don't have an ipad yet but will when ipad 3 comes out which would solve this problem as well.

I don't know about Android, but there is a version for Windows Phone.

You wont find it on the marketplace, it hasn't been updated in a while and it has no official support at all. It looks like the programmer made it to learn about Apples Digital Audio Control Protocol (DACP) but I've managed to get it to work ok.

While it's advertised as just for iTunes I've successfully paired it with my ATV1. However the way it displays your library is rubbish, seems geared more towards music than video.

I use http://hyperfine.com/remoteforitunes/ all the time to control my itunes library to my ATV2 and/or 2 Airport Expresses from my HTC Desire. It's one of my most used apps and is pretty rock solid.
