Has anyone purchased and/or heard the entire new Gorillaz album, "Demon Days"? I was thinking about buying it, but there are no reviews on Epinions or anything!! If it helps, I love "Feel Good, Inc." and almost their entire first album. Thanks.

I haven't bought it, but have listened to it a few times. There are a few other good tracks... but in my opinion the CD seems to fizzle out towards the end. If you like their first a lot though, you'll probably really like this one.

Alright FurryRabidBunny, thanks. Do you know how long it is by chance?

It is 50.7 minutes long.
I don't like it, personally, but if you loved the 1st album, you like this one too. :)

Yeah I liked the first album but a lot of people didn't...It's just very annoying because Gorillaz always has this awesome single with rap and people buy the cd thinking the whole thing will be like that and it's completely different! I'm just gonna wait until my friend buys it. I'll burn it and save my $11 at best buy for the new Alkaline Trio CD, I know that's good! :D

from what i gathered from listening to it... the first five or six tracks were similar to the single (which i really like) and then the rest seemed like really bad hip hop.

I listened to it yesterday thanks to the good weather in London: one of my neighbours had bought it and had their stereo in the garden, so got treated to a full promo of the album!
I think Gorillaz are destined to be one of those groups where I like the singles but IMO the album is full of fillers. Bit like The Coral in that respect ;)
I think thanks to iTunes I'll be sticking to the singles. There is one track of theirs I haven't managed to track down though - their live performance of Clint Eastwood at the Brits in 2001 - it was awesome! I think its on the DVD, but again, not much point in buying for one track...

Well I guess singles are what they are going for, the group physically isn't real :D . They don't even have concerts do they? Well they are animated so therefore they can't. Hahaha. Gorillaz seems the perfect candidate for iTunes, since they do have a lot of filler tracks, but I just don't like buying songs from iTMS, i don't know why. I get the weekly free ones :) .

I got it on iTunes and I must say it was pretty dissapointing.
Feel Good, Inc. is the only good song on there... of course, "Kids With Guns" is very worth it.

Got special edition with DVD - excellent album - DARE also pretty good, O Green World, Dirty Harry also worth getting it. Its very different to the last Gorillaz album - its more like Think Tank with more of a R n' B flavour. Worth getting definitely.

They do have concerts. I hear they're fantastic. I'd really like to go to one if they tour Demon Days.
Which, btw, I think is fantastic. I actually enjoy it more than their first self-titled album—it's more consistently catchy. I also like how Jamie's art for the band has matured somewhat, the characters are all more detailed and grungy, less cartoon-y a la the first album and set of videos. Despite Miho and Del's disappearance, I think their musical vision is even stronger and less scattered than before, and Danger Mouse's production is fantastic.

I finally coughed up the $10 and got Demon Days. I wrote the first review of it on Epinions dot com. woot. here's the link if you care (http://www.epinions.com/content_184767188612) .
I really don't know what to think. It's one of those cds that takes time to sink in, like fine wine maybe? maybe not that was bad. Its decent but I wouldn't say its the deepest musical experience I've had. I'll leave that to good old Miles Davis.
