I loved it until it got so fast you couldn't see it anymore, oh and after i realized how much of a crappy OS windows was, and that alone wasn't going to save it!

I thought it was pretty cool, oh, over a decade ago, but it's pretty sad that the game hasn't, in any real sense, changed at all since then.

Now to show my age. I don't personally play Solitaire. Can remember my mother playing Solitaire the old fashioned way with cards. She could play for ever it seemed, that is when she wasn't reading or doing cross word puzzles. What always bother me was that she would see that she was winning an quit. She never played to the end. "Why should I continue when I know that I have won." :)

I wouldn't say that I love the spinning beachball. If it happens very often, then I find it frustrating. I do think that the colors are attractive, suppose that was a design trying to help alleviate frustration.

I heard they were beta testing a LAN version of Solitare a while back that you could play against your co-workers. For some reason it never took off.

They really need to get back to wristwatches. For a while those were getting pretty elaborate, with spinning dials and even sometimes color ones, and then the ball things took over :(

I get them both. B/W wristwatches and beach balls, best of both worlds, although i would prefer not seeing them.
As for solitaire, i only played it during evening school classes and i sucked at it, no bouncing cards, ever :o.

The bouncing cards are okay, I suppose. I've noticed that the speed the cards bounce seems to vary, both from computer to computer and game to game on the same computer. I don't play Solitaire all that much (both on the computer and with real cards).

That totally annoys me, on my machine (GASP) the cards crawl! It's slow, I can't get past the queens! I loved how they would go so fast, but now its not even a reward for you efforts. Pull it together Microsoft!

Yes...well worse is when it shuts down all your apps then shut down the whole computer while you are reading a web page

The bouncing card thing reminds me of when a window freezes up and you start draging it, then you get window art! Thats what the bouncing card thing looks like to me.

I've played solitaire, but I'm a bigger fan of Minesweeper. I can't wait until I get tiger, that way I can download the Minesweeper widget and waste a couple of more hours doing nothing productive. ;)

I have learned most of the strategy behind winning at Minesweeper...I just need to get my win times down. I'm not a master by any means...but I am pretty good at it.

I got pretty good at it once, when having badly sprained my ankle, I couldn't do much else but sit still.

Got to 98 seconds on Expert on my old Win 98 PC. I just tried to find the screenshot I took to remember the occasion by but it obviously didn't survive the transition to the Mac.

It's the one game I can't get used to playing on the Powerbook since I usually don't have a mouse attached and you just get the speed up without a mouse.

I like solitaire. The bouncing cards are nice but get tiring after a while. I'm at a 91% win in Freecell.

I play it with cards sometimes or klondike. I had a girlfriend and we played solitaire together. It was unusual.

So how did you decide who was going to do what, when you played Solitaire with your girlfriend? The answer should be just as interesting.

Now we need a new question to discuss.

I've heard you could use it as a belt in the engine of a car (I'm not too cary-savvy so I'm not sure of the correct term).

What are you going to use the torch for?

i have no actual use for the tourch. but it was the only thing i could think of when i started pointelssly covering this thing in duck tape. so now i need to create a good reason to use a tourch.

i think the term you were looking for about the car was "fan belt" :)

How about a dress?

I've seen a girl make a dress completely out of duct tape to go out one night.

She looked good in it too!

So I can't post them, sorry.
