I wonder how much longer it'll be until Ford divisions other than Volvo have iPod interfaces.

I'd be almost willing to bet money that it'll be available whenever they put out a Lincoln that's based on the Volvo S80, either directly or via the Ford Five Hundred. Maybe it'll show up in Mercury if they want more differentiation between Escape and Mariner, et cetera.

On the GM front, I'd say it's more likely they'll put it in a Pontiac or Buick first -- i.e., what they're having desperate trouble selling.

These factory iPod interfaces will really catch on once Ford and GM have them as options -- standard on high-end vehicles, perhaps.

IIRC, GM already announced it in something. Let me see if I can dig it up.

EDIT: Sorry, my bad, they just announced that they will include more front panel aux-in's in their vehicles...starting, apparently, with the HHR.
