iPhone 4S, on 5.0.1
All of a sudden since this afternoon, when I receive an iMessage/SMS and/or a TextFree notification, I've been getting the vibrate and sound alert accompanied by NO actual message display on the phone. So, the sound will play and the phone vibrates, but the screen stays black. If I hit the sleep/wake button to view the lock screen there's nothing there.
It only displays the actual message if I unlock the screen, and go into Messages and/or TextFree. On a few occasions, the message has displayed on the lock screen but delayed by a good 10-15 seconds after playing the sound and vibrating, but the vast majority of the time it's just been playing the sound and vibrating with nothing else unless I manually check it.
What gives
