So I went to order 2 GB of ram for my powerbook, but Crucial was out of stock.

The only other brand I've heard is good is Kingston. Is it good, or should I wait and pay the few quid more for Crucial?

Check out Kingmax (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=20-155-111&depa=0), Samsung (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Samsung/27SAMSO1GB/), this one (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/2700DDRS1GBA/), Infineon (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/27LGESO1GB/), or Techworks (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/TechWorks/126080006/)

Also, check out 1-800-4-memory (http://www.18004memory.com/) and Datamem (http://www.datamem.com/)

I've only purchased "add-on" memory from Crucial. There are stories out there that Apple uses "Samsung" memory on new builds. I think there is a store called "We Love Macs" that sells the Samsung memory. I hope I got the name right.

Hi Pulsewidth947,

Im in the Uk and ordered 1GB Ram from eBay via USA, from a amazing company called Omni Technologies,

The Ram was delivered in 3 days via DHL Express, you can track the order online as well, and the price was much much cheaper then Crucial,

The Ram works like a dream and I can't recommend the company enough, great service,

Check this link out for 2GB Ram
