So I went to order 2 GB of ram for my powerbook, but Crucial was out of stock.

The only other brand I've heard is good is Kingston. Is it good, or should I wait and pay the few quid more for Crucial?

I've only purchased "add-on" memory from Crucial. There are stories out there that Apple uses "Samsung" memory on new builds. I think there is a store called "We Love Macs" that sells the Samsung memory. I hope I got the name right.
