Just like the winter turning to spring, high school senior guys trying to get lucky, and Bill Gates prediting the doom of one of his competitors, any product that is supposed to be like an Apple one sucks, it's guaranteed.

Surprise surprise..
Ouch - Just looking at the posts below the article is making my appreciate the Macrumors forums that much more! - Terrible posts; 4GB iPod Shuffle?!!
I love my 1 GB shuffle (even purchased an additional 2 years warranty for $34.95), but I wish it could do more. I just purchased a 1 GB Creative MuVo N200.
Why would you do that?
How can the shuffle go wrong unless you break it by damage - in which case does the warranty cover it? And WHY OH WHY would you buy an almost identical player with the same storage. Is this guy's strategy going to be to purchase 1GB as his Library expands? He'll be carrying around 10 sticks before long!
For the price of a shuffle & MuVo you could get a Mini, and for just $20 more he couls have got a 20GB iPod!

you seem to have no idea about the many whos shuffles just stopped working or lost certain functions or stopped lighting up etc. etc..
there are electronic components inside that can fail. applecare is worth it for any portable device they have.

True you can use the shuffle mode in the iPod mini and regular iPod, but they don't have the light weight and simplicity the Shuffle has for people who are very active. If you drop the iPod, you can break the LCD, if you drop the Shuffle, you simply risk a scratch or something.

Not only is it poor compared to the iPod they ripped off... it costs MORE?!?
Made in Asia, just like the actual Shuffle I expect. Probably similar or same parts and even similar or same manufacturers.
Just goes to show it's not where a thing is made, it's where it's designed that counts.

I'm going to go with "how" rather than "where" it is designed OR made.

Didn't Jack Campbell say here and in other forums that Luxpro wasn't a real company and they were just speculating with this design?
I know he said it here (http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000650036878/) - but based on this review - the product must be real!!

Here (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2005/06/review_super_ta_1.html) is another review. A bit more positive but still not too good.
