One. Working on Two others right now, though. If it weren't for the Switch ads, I wouldn't have Switched the first person, though.

I switched my dad (from commodore) and my fiance and her brother. I'm working on two of my friends right now. I'm also trying to switch a third friend back. One question I have is if they switch back to PC for one reason or another does it still count?

Hmmm.... most of the people I know work already with Macs, so to double-switch would be back to the PC. ;)

But I "switched" my father and my wife recently. Also a good friend of mine would like to have one, but he doesn't have the money to buy a new computer, so he is stuck with his PII/W98 box. Poor guy!! :D

The rest of the people is already Applefied and the people who are not and I make business with, they all adore the Mac but can't switch because of all kinds of bull-**** reasons...

I said more than five, but that's because the question didn't specify a time gap. More than five is since I started using macs, more than 15 years ago..
It also didn't specify how many are switching back :-(((
Has anyone found this? I'm more or less fed up with convincing that "Mac's Best", only to be called by people every time they have a hd failure, etc.
I still buy macs, but I'm not totally sure there is the gap there used to be...

I've convinced 3 and I'll probably convince more in the next year. But one of my friends bought an eMac and has had it replaced once (didn't work out of the box) and had the replacement repaired twice due to hardware issues. Not very good and really surprised me. :(

All you have to do is show Mac OS X to people, give a quick demo, and then use it in their presence for two hours without a reboot. That gets 'em hooked, easy.

I got converted a little over a year ago by my old roommate (now the GMU campus rep for Apple). Since then my girlfriend has ditched her Dell for a PowerBook, a friend of mine has ditched her Gateway for an iBook, my sister is planning on an iBook when she goes to college, and I got a CHEAP Wallstreet G3 PowerBook for a friend of mine and fixed it up - he'll never go back now.

The number of people I've convinced to at least take Mac seriously (something many didn't do before, they were all Linux geeks and stuff) is staggering. Only 4 or 5 full-fledged switchers so far, but countless considering a switch when their next computer purchase rolls around :-)

First Myself, and I have 1 possible switch (back to Apple from a PC) happening at Christmas.

One of my clients switched on his own. (And is a serious Apple evangelizer now. :D

1 person, b ut I have switched to a PC myself. Only temporarily. Macs aren't as good as PCs as of now (desktop wise), but they will be ahead when the IBM 970 chip starts being put in them.
