Well, I've never posted here cuz I don't do SETI F@H, but I thought this may be worth a look for those that do:

The future of SETI@home, an Internet-based distributed computing experiment to find radio signals from intelligent alien life-forms, is in serious danger as academics behind the project face a funding crisis. (http://www.zdnet.com.au/newstech/communications/story/0,2000024993,20269078,00.htm)

Hmmm...does this mean they're gonna charge? They'll lose a couple million users...That really sucks.

Ah...now I feel bad for not joining Seti@home. But hey, if they do cut off funding...

JOIN Folding @ Home and Genome @ home!!! ;)

Quite a few people run seti instead of folding because it runs under OS9, wheras Folding only runs under OSX.

Oh, I never knew that.

Sorry everyone.

And I found out genome at home only runs on PCs.

Never mind then.
