I would like to use the bluetooth connection on the MBA to connect with the iPhone 4S to use the iPhone as a bluetooth device to run Dragon dictate.

Every time I attempt to pair the two devices I receive a successful pair message on the MBA, but I get an error message on the iPhone where the only option is to "forget the macbook air."

I have googled a bit and tried several solutions.

1)This is a fresh install, I did not migrate over any bluetooth profiles from my other Macs. I also have gone into bluetooth preferences and deleted the profile I had created, and attempted to pair again.

2) I have turned off wifi on the mac, and have gotten the same results.

3) I am unable to enable personal hotspot, as I have an unlimited data plan from AT&T.

Any constructive advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don't think it will pair since there are no features on the MacBook Air that the limited Bluetooth stack in the 4S can actually use.
