I've been using Batch Rip Automator to rip DVDs using Fairmout and convert them in Handbrake. This has been working well until I went to convert Curb Your Enthusiasm season 6. It seems to have ripped OK since I can open it and play it in Mac OS's DVD Player app, but whenever I try to encode it with Handbrake, Handbrake just locks up, both from the command line and from the GUI. Has anyone encountered this issue with this DVD or any other DVDs before? Is there a resolution to it?

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 6 won't convert in HandBrake

Turn off FairPlay and try with VLC + Handbrake. You'll still have to sort of which titles are which episodes. Also try the Handbrake nightly build.
