Recording from TV [Archive]

I want to record from tv/video etc. what exactly do I need to do this? What kind of hardware/software? I Appreciate all kinds of help.

Get the latest issue of MacAddict they did a review of all the major video input/output hardware.

The most affordable option for a TiVo-like device is called EyeTV by elgato - http://www.elgato.com/. Formac makes more robust (but significantly more expensive) solutions - http://www.formac.com/p_bin/?cid=solutions_converters.

Too bad I have built in AV in and out ports but OS X dosen't support it! DAM THEM DAM THEM ALL TO.... wait... where am I???
