What do you guys think this Apple-Intel partnership is about? Is Steve going mainstream with his OSX or is Apple just switching suppliers to make a special Apple processor?

Could it be that Apple is loosing in the hardware speed race and Steve concludes that Apple computers will be alot slower in the near future if Apple doesnīt change its strategy? I would still buy a slow Mac rather than a fast Windoze based PC, but speed is important for the high end market and gamers.

If Apple will go x86, I will welcome the change. Linux runs well on x86 and I cannot see anything wrong with it. Apple would be in a direct competition with other PCs producers, but Apple costs would decrease as well and our prices.

Letīs face it, Apple makes great sleek looking and durable computers and maybe its hardware business might grow. I know of some people who have to run Windoze since they use a Windoze only apps, like Delphi, but these people would love to run it on the great looking iMac or Powermac.

I look forward to hearing what Steve is going to say tomorrow.
