I have a black macbook 2,1 (bought ~Jan '07) that I want to upgrade with 4GB of RAM (3GB usable). I'm wondering what the stock RAM timings are. I'm going with Mushkin RAM, and they have 2 choices for 4GB RAM timing: 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15.
I'm always tempted to get the faster RAM, but if the macbook can't use the increased speed, then there's no point.
I asked Mushkin directly, and they said just to get the faster RAM, but didn't really sound like they knew anything and just wanted me to spend more $$
...
Anyway, I couldn't find anything in a forum search or on good old Google, hopefully someone can help me out!
