What primary storage (not backup) should I use for iMac? I will need something fast for editing lots of pictures in lightroom and photoshop. The popular options like Drobo and synology are great backup solutions, though I hear they are slow for primary storage, given i will be doing lots of reads/writes to disk.
So what NAS or DAS should i get that is quick (i know i'll need some 7200rpm HDD's) and what connection type should I use (FW800 or Gigabit). I know thunderbolt is a technical option, but too expense right now.
