mail doesn't respond

My mail all of a sudden won't respond upon opening. I have restarted and everything.... I don't have the reinstall disks with me... any suggestions.?

Try deleting the preferences. 🙂

I dont want to loose my setting and e-mails

Im having the very same problem, and i dont want to loose my e-mails... Isnt there any way to do this?

when you delete the preferences file you don't loose your mail... You only loose your preferences. Mail is stored in ~/Library/Mail
