Hi all.

I am looking for opinions on how either Galaxy on Fire 2, or Star Wars KOTOR would work on a Macbook air 1.7 ghz core i5 13"

Looking for offline games that are not system hogs. I used to play Eve online and really miss the feel of that game. To bad you can't play offline and just explore without the need for a server.

Any thoughts would be appreciated on expected performance. Thanks

I have an older core 2 duo macbook pro, and galaxy on fire 2 runs fine on my computer, so i'd see no reason why it would't work on yours... what graphics card are you using? because the game may not support the intel card

oh, and if memory serves, motor runs fine on my computer too

SWTOR is a resource hog.
At 1680x1050 res with maxed settings and 4xAA I'm using 800-950MB VRAM.
I wouldn't dream on running it on my MBA.

KOTOR is not a resource hog, the game came out 6 or 7 years ago. If you are referring to the new stars MMO SWTOR, then yeah it kind of is, but not really. Runs fine on my core 2 duo machine with a 9600gt and 2gb of RAM. I recommend both games, but SWTOR is a huge timesink.

I have a late 2011 MBA with i7 and I can play GoF2 and KOTOR without any problems. Runs perfect. Fans are getting a little bit loud, that's it.
