Is the sound level dangerous in the iPhone4?

Seeing as the EU has issued an "mandate to ensure that personal listening devices for consumers would be safe", I wonder if Apple has started the progress?

I got the iPhone4 for christmas and wondered if listening longtime at max volume could damage my hearing or if the EU mandate was, eerrr, 'in place' in the iPhone ?
