Well, what I want to change a combo drive iMac G5 to a superdrive. I found out that the superdrive is called:DVD-RW DVR K04L. Would it be hard to change the combodrive to superdrive? M-Wave has it for only $100 and it's dual layer. Chack out the link and tell me if i could put that into an iMac G5. I dont think it comes with cables...is that ok? I figured i could just use the cables from the combodrive.

Thanks!

I don't think it will work. There are different part numbers for the Combo and the Superdrive model logic boards :(

lightscribe is awesome
i was wondering about a lightscribe drive for my new pc. it'd be significantly more expensive (like double) than the drive i was going to put in there, but is worth it? what do the discs look like after they've been...lightscribified? know where i can find some pics?
edit: did a google image search for "lightscribe" and it looks absolutely amazing...
