I've bought a stack of 25 mini-DVDs today. not for use with my Powerbook (Combo) but my PC... but i was wondering; do these little discs work with Powerbook style drives? ive pushed one in quite far, just enough to pinch it out incase it didnt fit but its not being pulled in.

experiences?

I'm fairly certain that mini-cd/dvds do *not* work in slot-loading drives.

Do not, I repeat do not use the mini dvds with Apple slot loading drives. They will get stuck and require a drive replacement that will not be covered by AppleCare.
You MIGHT be able to use them with tray loading drives, but I don't even think that Apple supports them whatsoever.

You can use 8CM discs in a tray.

Put them in a slot loader to relieve those early Mac paper clips days!

Ah!, The memories are flooding back as i type ;)

8 cm cds do not work in regular slot loading drives.

The upcoming Nintendo Revolution gaming console has a slot loading drive and it accepts both the Revolution 12 cm media and the Gamecubes 8 cm media. Hopefully, slot loading computer DVD drives of the future will accept both. Mini CD/DVDs are pretty popular.
