Connecting MBA to TV

Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Female Adapter Cable

Would this adapter work to connect my 2011 MBA to my TV. I know they call the port on the MBA a "thunderbolt" so I was not sure. I would post a link, but not sure if that is aloud here. I have a Samsung 46" Class (45.9" Diag.) LED 7000 Series Smart TV.

I wrote about the same question and got a reply telling me to buy the cable from http://www.monoprice.com. I bought the cable and it works. Cheaper than amazon. You will always get great help form the guys at this forum. I do anyway.
 
Thanks for your help. I have it all setup and it worked. I was expecting to get my then 24p. I expected more with this TV, but it still looks good.
