FaceTime is not working?

It works from my cell phone on the same wireless network. But I don't receive calls on my computer and when i try to call people, they get it but it gets stuck on connecting and eventually fails.

What should i do?

Call Apple.

that's my suggestion.

And on a related note: when I FaceTime my mic is really soft. Anyway to natively boost it? Yes it's turned all the way up.

Remove it, boot from Installation DVD to run Disk Utilities and do: Repair Volume and Repair Permissions.
Then reinstall FaceTime. If still having issues, Reset PRAM.
That should take care of this and other problems you may have.

I don't have an installation dvd.

I don't even have a dvd player lol

I use FT all the time, it's buggy, but there are workarounds. I have the same issues as you....It works on my phone and my iPad, but refuses to connect on my macs.

Prior to making a call

Shut down all running apps including mail.

Reboot whilst performing a PRAM reset ( this is Apples only fix, so phoning them will get you the same answer)
