Replacing the hard drive, 2tb

Hi, I have a mid-late 2010 27" 3.6, i5 iMac,

The 1tb hard drive needs to be replaced,

I am just wondering, is it ok to install a 2tb hard drive into this iMac

Will a 2tb hard drive effect, heat, fans or anything else?

Other than voiding any AppleCare coverage, it won't make any noticeable impact on heat or fans.
